Fighter Friday🥊 Meet Sebastian: Our Brave KC Hero💪🏼

Hello Reader,

Soon a new school year will begin, classrooms will be filled with laughter and friends, and families will be settling into new routines. While this season is exciting for many, it can also serve as a reminder that childhood cancer changes what "back to school" looks like for so many families.

Today we'd love for you to meet one of our Hometown KC Heroes, Sebastian.

Sebastian is 11 years old and courageously battling a brain tumor called astrocytoma.

He's a fun-loving young man whose favorite color is red. He loves basketball and is currently learning to play the saxophone.

As many children head back to school, we're asking you to lift Sebastian in prayer.

  • Pray that he would experience strength for each day, healing through his treatments, and moments of joy as he continues to learn, grow, and simply be a kid.
  • Pray for peace and endurance for his family and wisdom for the medical team caring for him.

Thank you for faithfully standing in the gap for families facing pediatric cancer. Your support remind them they are never walking this journey alone which is at the heart of why Brave Like McKenna exists.
